The Pitiusan summer is the protagonist of the photographic exhibition ‘La brisa, la risa y ella’, which opens tomorrow at 7 p.m. Cristina Alba Calderón, known professionally as Cris AC.
The exhibition, which can be visited in the lobby of the Ocean Drive Ibiza hotel, will be open to the public until next February 7thbrings together 18 color images captured by the Ibizan photographer in the Pitiusas between 2019 and 2021.
With a camera always at hand, these snapshots, she explains, were taken spontaneously in different scenarios, such asor the beaches of Cala Carbó or Cala Molíon the island of Ibiza, or es Pujols, in Formentera. He did not have the idea in mind then to make an exhibition, the project arose later when he had the opportunity to exhibit in 2023 in Barcelona, where he has lived and has been formed. She selected from her entire repertoire those photos that best portrayed what summer transmits to her and thus emerged ‘La brisa, la risa y ella’, where there is also space for some of the photos she has taken verses. For Cris AC, photography is “pure therapy” and if he combines this with the summer period, “friendship and love”, images as poetic as the ones he brings together in this exhibition are born.
