Pacha confirms the opening date of Lío Londres

The legendary Café de Paris is the chosen establishment where, in addition to the gastronomic and entertainment experience, Lío Londres also transforms into a club.

Grupo Pacha confirms the opening of Lío Londres, which will open its doors in London in February 2023, in one of the oldest places in the city: The Paris Cafe and will offer not only the dining and entertainment experience, but also the club experience, the company said in a statement.

Lío, which has been entertaining for more than a decade at its Ibiza flagship, is an interpretation of a cabaret show.

The Spanish architectural design studio Lázaro Rosa-Violán is overseeing the transformation, taking care to preserve the heritage elements of the Grade II listed building, a space recognized as one of London’s most prestigious event and nightclub venues.

With space for 200 diners, the design looks “glamorous as well as fun,” they report in the release, with mirrored ceilings and a DJ booth appearing in the center of the space.

The elegant staircase dating from 1924 cascades down both sides of the central space. Guests can sit in the heart of the action (in the lounge) or on the wraparound mezzanine with a panoramic view of the performance.

Artist Jan Erika has been commissioned to bring the curved catwalk backstage to life with 18 hand-painted doors that will be completed on opening night as a live art act. Her large-scale figurative designs, inspired by the silhouette and lines of the human body, “will be elegant yet bold, just like the show itself,” the release continues.

And after the show, the room is transformed into a nightclub with a capacity of up to 715 people. Giving way to the dance floor, the stage will disappear underground and the DJ booth will come to life, with resident and international DJs performing, in addition to the popular Lío club nights from Wednesday to Saturday, bringing the spirit of Pacha to London’s nightlife. The space will also be available for exclusive events from Sundays to Tuesdays.

Lío Londres Gastronomy

Chef Adam Rawson, who has been at the helm of The Standard in New York and whose resume includes stints with Gordon Ramsay and Claude Bosi, will oversee the Lío Londres concept. The menu offerings will be complemented by wines selected by sommelier Romaine Aurrdreire, who has worked with Andre Balazs as head sommelier for the opening of Chiltern Firehouse and, also, as global wine director for Balazs properties.

Sanjay Nandi, CEO of Pacha Group, says that “since opening its legendary doors in the 1920s, Café de Paris has long been a symbol of indulgence, style and glamour” and that they are “thrilled to take it into the next phase of its life.”

“True to its roots, the space will continue to be a place where people can come to experience the best entertainment. It’s creative, wild and a lot of fun, “we know London will love Lío Londres!” concludes Nandi.

Grupo Pacha is an international holding company that operates in the music, leisure, entertainment, hospitality, fragrance and fashion sectors, among others, with a strong international presence through its brands: Pacha Ibiza (Nightclub), Lío, Destino Pacha Resort and El Hotel Pacha.
