Pacha Ibiza: the most inclusive party of the year

The entrance fee is six euros and can be purchased at the door of Pacha Ibiza.

This Sunday, Pacha Ibiza hosts its yearly charity party ‘Pacha por los niños’ (Pacha for the children). The little ones can enjoy various activities from 5pm and there will be prizes and a raffle. The money raised, as they explained yesterday at the presentation of the party, will go entirely to the Plataforma Sociosanitaria de las Pitiusas to the Fundación Conciencia and to the Association of People with Special Needs of Ibiza and Formentera

“When we go down the street many children ask us when the party will be held every year at Pacha.” said Alba Pau, patron of the Pacha Foundation, at the presentation of the event. “It’s worth all the work and craziness involved in organizing everything just to see the children happy on that day. Many of them will only have this party for the whole Christmas,” said Pau. The party starts at 5pm, but it is recommended to be there earlier to wait in line. “The entrance fee is six euros and the money raised will be distributed equally to the associations,” reported the also treasurer of the Pacha Foundation.

As for the activities, Alba Pau did not want to reveal any surprises, but stressed that there will be face painting, a photo booth and several raffles. In addition, children will be able to leave their letter to Santa Claus. “It is expected that about 2,000 people will attend according to the average of other years,” says Pau. According to the organizer, so far 40,000 euros have already been raised and 650 gifts have been collected, which will be part of the various raffles that will be held during the afternoon.

The Pacha tradition gives the final push for the year

“Apart from the fact that this party has been a tradition for many years, it is also the end-of-year push that helps us to finish all the projects we have carried out and start those of 2023, which is fundamental,” explained José Agulla, treasurer of the Plataforma Sociosanitaria. He also stresses that the platform currently shows a certain balance post covid, but they still have waiting lists. “These initiatives are fundamental to be able to attend to a greater number of people. Last year we served 230 people,” he says.

“This party is a joyful way to end the year. Besides, it allows us to be calmer. It’s a relief,” said Marisina Marí, president of Fundación Conciencia. Marí explains that at Fundación Conciencia they work with child abuse and that, for them, “it is a real joy to see children enjoying this party”. “We are currently working with cases of child sexual abuse and we also work with institutions to make changes and improve protocols. There are times when a family member needs more treatment than the child. It is a comprehensive care and whatever the situation requires is what we provide. We are currently dealing with about fifty cases,” Marí points out.

“This is the party par excellence of integration, of realizing that everyone has the right and that we must fight for real integration. If some subsidies that are delayed don’t arrive, this party is the ideal impulse to end the year. Thanks to this collaboration, every year we have an important respite for all the associations”, concluded Carmen Boned, manager of Apneef
