The figures published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) have proven the entrepreneurs of the hotel sector and restaurateurs correct who point to national tourism as the mainstay of the last two tourist seasons in the Pitiusas. Thus, of the 213,006 travelers who came to Ibiza and Formentera during the past month of July, 28.8% were residents in Spain, almost twice as many as in the same period of 2019, when only 14.9% of the 365,511 travelers who visited the islands were nationals.
