Since yesterday, people who are unemployed or who want to change jobs can register for the next edition of ‘Santa Eulària Se n’Ocupa’, a job fair organised by the Santa Eulària Town Hall’s Department of Employment, which will take place online on May 14. This year, ‘Santa Eulària se n’Ocupa’ celebrates its 10th anniversary by adapting to the circumstances, becoming the first virtual job fair on the island of Ibiza. Nearly 40 firms and business groups of all kinds have already confirmed their participation to recruit potential candidates through express interviews via video call.

After last year’s in-person ‘Santa Eulària se n’Ocupa’ (scheduled for March 20 and which was reorganised by sending out CVs to interested companies through the Town Hall’s Job Club) had to be cancelled, this year the event has opted to transform itself into a virtual job fair that maintains its essence of bringing employers and workers into contact through express interviews, but in this case via video calls lasting a maximum of 3 minutes.

In order to participate it is not necessary to download any software, you can access from any mobile phone or computer with an internet connection from the link that you will find on the website www.senocupa.es or on the municipal website www.santaeulariadesriu.com. You simply need to register on the Club de Feina website and attach a CV. From May 10, applicants will be able to enter the virtual fair where each company will have its own stand or digital information section where it will display the profiles it is looking for and the type of job offers it is promoting, as well as any other information it considers useful for candidates.

50 interviews per person

Job seekers who consider any of the proposals to be attractive may select to receive a video call on the 14th, between 9am and 7pm. A maximum of 50 interviews per person will be possible.

Finally, there will also be three virtual stands from the Balearic Islands Employment Service (SOIB), the Ministry of Defence and the Construction Labour Foundation, offering information on their training activities and job opportunities.

In addition, as in previous years, the Santa Eulària Se n’Ocupa will also include training workshops on strategies to improve the chances of getting a job through CVs or job interviews.
