The pedestrianisation project for the seafront promenade of the port of es Canar will involve an estimated investment of 1,074,217€ and will take five months to complete. This is detailed in the proposal that, after its initial approval, will be subject to public consultation by Santa Eulària Town Council from yesterday until November 8th.
After this period, the Town Hall plans to put these works out to tender immediately if there are no objections delaying the project. The project will include the pedestrianisation of the final section of Avenida de es Canar, to the south of the beach and next to the pier, as well as another section at its junction with Avenida de Punta Arabí.
In total, an entire urban space occupying 3,411 square metres will be refurbished, with new paving and street furniture, trees and decorative plants, the elimination of architectural barriers, burial of low voltage and telecommunications networks, as well as improvements to street lighting and the rainwater drainage network, among its main improvements.
