Despite their practicality and unique design, the craft of making these chairs is fading, with few artisans left who possess the skills of ‘cadirer‘ or ‘cordadora de cadires‘. This decline not only represents a loss of unique, handcrafted furniture but also a fading slice of rural Ibizan culture.
