The Guardia Civil has arrested a a married couple of Romanian origin accused of stealing a purse and transferring to themselves a total of 86.000 euros from the victim’s bank account.
A a woman of Irish nationality reported, at the end of 2023, that she had been her purse with documents, credit cards and cell phone had been stolen in a discotheque in the municipality.
The security corps initiated the investigation based on the movements in the bank account of the affected woman and the agents were able to verify that she had two beneficiaries of the transfers, a man and a woman.
The suspects were located last February 15 by the agents, who arrested them as alleged perpetrators of a crime of swindling and receiving.
The couple has already been brought before the court and the court has decreed the prohibition of leaving the national territory for both of them.
