The Guardia Civil has arrested a man of Spanish nationality as the alleged perpetrator of the theft of a watch valued at 10,000 euros at Ibiza airport, according to the security force in a press release.
The arrest occurred on Friday afternoon, when one of the passengers noticed that the watch he had deposited in one of the trays to pass through baggage control was not in the same place where he had deposited it.
The agents reviewed the security cameras and observed how another person, who was also going through the filter at the time, took possession of the watch and continued on his way.
Within moments the man was located and arrested and the watch, which the alleged offender was wearing on his wrist, was returned to its owner.
