Luxury handbags are stolen from a house in Ibiza and then sold in their own home

The Guardia Civil in Santa Eulària has arrested a 47-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman for stealing luxury handbags and watches, jewellery and brand-name clothes from a house and then selling them in their own home, according to a press release from the Civil Guard’s Peripheral Communications Office (OPC).

Last Monday, Civil Guards of the Judicial Police searched a house in Ibiza after discovering that a woman who was selling the goods had set up her residence there, through an internet platform, bags of dubious origin. The agents, according to the note, found inside the house more than 25 luxury handbags, two Rolex watches, jewelry, branded clothing, and 37,940 €. The two people living in the house were arrested as they could not prove where they had taken the objects.

Some of the recovered objects, according to the Civil Guard, were reported on November 7 in Santa Eulària, when they apparently broke into a house in the municipality.

The agents continue with the investigation to find out the origin of the rest of the objects.
