Kabir Mulchandani, owner of Pacha: “Ricardo Urgell told me that I reminded him of his younger self”

Kabir Mulchandani, the Indian businessman and current owner of Pacha, coincided with Ricardo Urgell, founder of Pacha and ex-owner of the emblematic Ibizan discotheque, at the Gran Fiesta Solidaria which was held to benefit the Fundación Conciencia and the Plataforma Sociosanitaria. The two posed together, as Diario de Ibiza reported, for the camera of Carlos Martorell, who was among the guests. Now, as a result of this meeting in the business they have both been in charge of, at different stages, Mulchandani has shared a few words about Urgell on his social networks.

“I had the pleasure of meeting with the legendary Founder of Pacha. I shared with him what a hero he is to me and that he started his journey with Pacha the year I was born. He told me that I reminded him of his younger self,” the current owner commented on Instagram. “I realize now more than ever the legacy of which I am a caretaker and I am even more committed to carrying it forward,” he adds.

Mulchandani has shared on Instagram the news published by the English digital edition of Diario de Ibiza, diariodeibiza.com about the day they coincided at Pacha and were photographed by Martorell. The Indian tycoon has 13,900 followers on Instagram.

“What Urgell created is iconic, and I’m excited to pick up the baton. Here’s to new beginnings and the spirit of Pacha!” adds Mulchandani in his post.

The UAE-based entrepreneur Kabir Mulchandani bought for 303 million euros the nightclubs and hotels of Pacha Group. He closed the purchase of these two divisions of the empire of the two cherries to Trilantic Capital Partners (which in turn bought it from Ricardo Urgell in April 2017 for around 350 million) months ago, but both parties then agreed not to make the deal official until the end of the season.
