Italian millionaire tried for rape of young woman on Ibiza, now accused by another of abusing her on the island

A total of six women have accused the former start-up king of rape.

Alberto Genovese, the 44 year old Italian millionaire who was the king of start ups and who is on trial in his own country for the rape two women, one of them on Ibiza, while on vacation on the island, has been accused by four other young women of sexual abuse.

The last two alleged victims to accuse him of rape are an Italian woman and a young woman of Lithuanian origin, according to the newspaper Corriere della sera. The latter assures that the aggression also occurred on Ibiza, although it has not been revealed when it happened (Genovese traveled to the Pitiusas on multiple occasions). At the moment the information available to the Italian media is that the Lithuanian woman returned to Italy from the island “in a very precarious physical condition”.

Nights of drugs and unbridled sex

It was in March 2021 when the Italian millionaire was accused of raping two women and since then he has been in pre-trial detention.

The accusation for sexual abuse of a 23-year-old Italian model on Ibiza is based on the events that took place on July 10, 2020 at Casa Lolita. There, she claims, she was drugged, beaten and raped by Genovese and in the aggression he would have been assisted by his then girlfriend, Sarah Borruso, also accused of participating in the two rapes committed by the businessman and for whom the prosecutor is asking for 2 years and 8 months in prison.

Genovese has defended himself against this accusation by stating that the complainant had consented to the sexual intercourse and that the bruises on her body were due to the fact that the girl was so “high” that he and his girlfriend had to hold her down because she struggled, but not to abuse her.

Famous parties on Ibiza

Those who chose to go to his parties, according to his version, were well aware of what they were going to find there (in reference to drugs and sex).

According to the Italian press, to attend the parties at Casa Lolita there were certain requirements: no attractive men, couples or footballers; only beautiful girls, unattractive single men or homosexuals.

Genovese explained in one of the sessions of the media trial that at his parties there were two separate groups that were controlled by bodyguards: those who used drugs and those who did not, wanting to justify that the girls who joined the group of drug consumers did so voluntarily, that he did not drug them without their consent.

“Fierce rape”

The night of the rape, which according to Genovese was not so, but which the prosecution and the examining magistrate define as a “fierce rape” based on the statements of the 23 year old woman and many other testimonies and evidence, the woman was so “disoriented”, in the sense that she had taken so many drugs, that she did not understand anything. At the party on that July 10th, 2020 on Ibiza “there were only people on drugs,” said Genovese, who explained that for 24 hours straight he danced, drank and consumed narcotics.

At one point, the 23-year-old model and Genovese’s girlfriend, Sarah, allegedly began to “flirt and touch each other,” according to the alleged aggressor. He then took them both to his bedroom. “We got into bed and had sex,” he says. However, at one point, the girl allegedly felt sick and started vomiting. According to the indictment, after being drugged with a substance that rendered her unconscious, the 23-year-old was sexually assaulted for hours until the next day, when Genovese and another person removed her from the bedroom by carrying her. Her condition was so poor that she slept for almost three full days.
