Ibiza’s new maritime station finally operational after nearly three years of delay

The new maritime station at the dock of es Botafoc in Ibiza has been inaugurated, although without an official ceremony due to elections.

The 6,580 square meter facility, costing over 16 million euros, replaces the temporary tent used for ten years. The first users were passengers from the ferry ‘Eleanor Roosevelt’ from Dénia.

The new station received positive feedback for its modern amenities. The design is inspired by Ibicencan architecture, and the construction faced delays due to COVID-19 and supply issues.
