These are the hippie markets open in Ibiza

Some of the island's hippy markets are almost fifty years old.

The hippie and craft markets are one of Ibiza’s attractions and one of the essential tourist sites when visiting the island. Each municipality has several hippie markets, some with almost fifty years of history, where you can find handicrafts, costume jewellery, art, clothing and also enjoy a good atmosphere, with food and music.

Although some of the flea markets remain open all year round, others only open their doors with the onset of summer and the tourist season.

Markets in Santa Eulària

Las Dalias Hippie Market

The flea market of Las Dalias is one of the best known of the island. Created in 1985has been growing in number of stalls to more than 200 at present, according to its website. In the complex, located in the municipality of Santa Eulària, shortly before reaching the small town of Sant Carles, other events such as Las Dalias Café, Las Dalias Club or concerts are also held. In the case of the flea market, it takes place every Saturday of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Hippy Market) and on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays from 7 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. in summer (Night Market).

The Hippie Market is the largest and oldest on the island. It was founded in 1973 and is located in the village of Es Canar, one of the most touristic areas of Ibiza. The market brings together a total of 500 artisans among its narrow streets full of jewelry, costume jewelry, handmade clothing and stalls with various items.

In addition, there are also art exhibitions and other activities, such as getting a massage.

The Hippie Market is reunited this year under the brand The Reference with new musical, cultural and gastronomic content for the whole family.

Also, in addition to being open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., from April 5, it will also be open on Fridays with a new Festival Market proposal, from 10 am to 7 pm in April and from 6 pm to midnight from May onwards.

S’Alamera Market

From the City Council of Santa Eulària have reported that the craft stalls that are usually put on the promenade of s’Alamera will also be open at Easter. The days that you can enjoy this market are from Monday to Saturday, although on Wednesdays there are usually not many stalls because the same artisans usually go to the True Hippy Market in es Canar, according to the Consistory. The schedule is from 8 to 21 hours.

Santa Gertrudis and Cala Llonga Markets

Both markets open only in summer during the months of greatest tourist activity, that is, in June or July.

The Sant Jordi flea market, created in 1995is organized in the racecourse of the village of Sant Jordiwhich is located at about 3 kilometers from Ibiza town at the exit of the town towards the airport. This flea market sells second hand and second hand items such as clothes, books, old magazines, records, furniture, etc….

It is held every Saturday of the whole year since from around 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. It has free parking and a dj who plays music to the atmosphere throughout the morning.

In the craft market of Sant Rafel, located in the village of Sant Rafel, about 9 kilometers from Sant Antoni, you can enjoy a craft show with all kinds of products. The market has about 20 stalls among which you can find handicrafts, ceramics and agricultural products.

Port Market

The flea market of the Marina of Ibiza, located on the Antoni Riquer and Sa Tertulia squaresin the port of Vila, was inaugurated in the year 1974.

As reported on its website, the market stalls are usually installed in the month of April and until the end of October, coinciding with the busiest tourist months. The schedule is from 17 hours and extends until 1 or 2 amdepending on the number of visitors.
