The Guardia Civil of Valencia has arrested the 16 members of a criminal organisation responsible for a robbery with violence inside a house in Bétera (Valencia) in which the inhabitants, including two minors, suffered injuries.
The assailants had paramilitary knowledge that made it difficult to locate them and, in addition, each of them resided in a Spanish province and only met for the commission of the criminal acts planned in advance, according to a statement from the Guardia Civil. Among the criminals, one was located in a house in Ibiza .
According to the sources, the agents were also able to find out that the people who ordered the assault on the house are two businessmen brothers of Chinese nationality, who were arrested after the entry and search of their homes and one of whom has already been imprisoned.
Operation ‘NECKARS
Within the framework of operation ‘NECKARS’, the agents learned of the commission of this robbery with violence in a house in Valencia where the victims stated that they had handed over jewelry, watches and other effects worth approximately 175,000 euros. The owners of the house also provided information about the assailants, who said that they were people from Eastern Europe, dressed in dark technical clothing, intercoms and various tools.
Thanks to the identification of part of the license plate number and model of a vehicle, the agents were able to locate it in a house in the town of El Puig de Santa María (Valencia). After the entry and search, the agents were able to extract a partial fingerprint corresponding to an Albanian citizen who had numerous records of robberies with violence in Albania and Spain, where it is known, through Interpol, that he has a warrant for a total of 12 robberies with a firearm.
After numerous inquiries, the Guardia Civil managed to identify the the rest of the members of the criminal organization who were hiding in a rented house where they pretended to be soccer players.
In addition, the location of the domiciles of all the components in the following localities: Ibizaarganda del Rey (Madrid), Burriana (Castellón) and Mislata (Valencia). As a result, 3 other assailants were arrested and imprisoned.
In the total of the eight searches carried out, the Guardia Civil has seized: 126,000 euros in cash, five high-end vehicles, jewelry, a gold bar, frequency inhibitors, exclusive tools for use in high jewelry, technical clothing and balaclavas. Also firearms, simulated firearms, a large number of bladed weapons, intercoms, surveillance cameras, tools used to gain access to homes (shears, goat legs, screwdrivers), high-value electronic and technological devices.
As a result of this operation, the following have been arrested 16 people: eleven men and five women between the ages of 25 and 67 and of the following nationalities: Albanian, Macedonian, Romanian, Chinese and Spanish. They are charged with the crimes of robbery with violence, illegal detention, injury, extortion and criminal organization.
In the operation, data have been requested to the Albanian authorities, according to the sources, who have indicated that the proceedings have been delivered to the Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 1 of Llíria (Valencia).
