Government maintains interiors of bars closed with minimal changes to restrictions

With the endorsement of the judges to measures such as the curfew or the limitation of six people in social and family gatherings despite the end of the state of alarm, the Govern can continue with its plans to maintain the bulk of the current restrictions in the Balearic. The executive of Francina Armengol this Friday finally approve the package of measures for the next fortnight and with which practically everything will remain the same on the islands. Only minimal changes are expected and, in addition to the measures endorsed by the courts, unless there is a surprise, the inside of bars and restaurants will remain closed. Precisely, the possible modifications that are being worked on would be aimed at relaxing the restrictions on outdoor spaces.

After a week of maximum alert in the ranks of the Government for fear that the High Court could shake the whole machinery of restrictions to contain the Coronavirus on the islands, calmness has returned and the wheels are again in motion to finalize and finish defining the measures to be proposed tomorrow at the table of social dialogue with employers and unions and which will subsequently be approved in Consell de Govern.

For the moment, with the endorsement of the TSJB, the curfew will be maintained despite the end of the state of alarm, as well as the limitation of people in social and family gatherings. As for the rest of the measures, those in the hands of the Government, such as those relating to trade or bars and restaurants, the changes that are planned are minimal, and would leave establishments interiors closed for another fifteen days.
