Firefighters tackle a bustling weekend in Formentera

Over the weekend, Formentera’s firefighters faced three firefighting operations. The series of events began on Saturday at 2 pm, with an uncontrolled burning of stubble on a plot near Pilar de la Mola, resulting in a 20 square metres area being burnt. The following day, at 7.45 a.m., a fire damaged a lamp post in the des Molins area; post-extinguishing efforts required the cutting of the pole and a subsequent inspection of the power line. Additionally, the team addressed a small fire in a container holding organic material on the island, marking a notably busy period for the emergency services.
