Father arrested in Ibiza for abandoning his minor son in a car to go out partying

The National Police went to the place where the young child was, after receiving a tip-off from a citizen who had heard the child crying from the vehicle.

The National Police in Ibiza arrested a man early Sunday morning who had left his son alone in the car to go partying at a nightclub in Ibiza.

The events occurred at about five o’clock in the morning, when a citizen who was in a parking lot near a well-known local of the island heard what appeared to be the cry of a child, police sources report.

The woman approached the car and noticed a minor inside crying “inconsolably”, so the woman contacted the National Police.

A Citizen Security officer went to the place where the vehicle was parked with the child inside, also sending a health service to evaluate the physical and emotional state of the child.

The agents, together with the Local Police and the security guards of the premises, proceeded to locate the father after managing to identify him by finding his passport in the glove compartment of the vehicle.

Finally, the man was located inside the premises by the agents of the National Police, who arrested him as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of abandonment of a minor and passed him to judicial disposition.

The minor, on the other hand, was transferred to a shelter by the indicative of Citizen Security of the National Police, “complying with the orders of the current legislation and the Public Prosecutor’s Office,” said the National Police Force in a note.
