The National Police of Ibiza has apprehended two individuals for committing a heinous act of robbery, involving violent and intimidating behavior, which included brutally assaulting a young man on the island.
According to a statement issued by the National Police, the perpetrators are a 37-year-old Spanish national and a 22-year-old individual hailing from Paraguay.
On the early morning of January 23rd, a young man was returning to his home after a visit to a popular nightclub in the city, when he was suddenly ambushed by two individuals on the street. The attackers proceeded to violently assault the victim on multiple occasions.
After being subjected to multiple blows by the assailants, the young man lost consciousness, providing the attackers with an opportunity to rob him of his belongings. The perpetrators then callously abandoned the victim in an unconscious state in the middle of the street, as reported in the statement.
Subsequently, passersby stumbled upon the scene and quickly took note of the victim’s dire condition, immediately alerting the emergency services. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Broken teeth
The severe beating inflicted upon the young man, which involved repeated kicks and punches to his head, resulted in his admission to the hospital, where he underwent a battery of tests before being ultimately discharged. The victim sustained multiple injuries, including two broken teeth.
After conducting a meticulous analysis of the events and engaging in extensive identification procedures, the UDEV of the National Police succeeded in tracking down the two individuals responsible for the heinous act.
Shockingly, it was discovered that one of the culprits was the security doorman of the establishment that the victim had visited, while the second individual was a frequent client of the same venue.
During the time of the apprehension carried out by the National Police, the doorman was found to be in possession of an extendable baton and a stun gun among his belongings. Subsequently, the two accused individuals have been presented before the court earlier today.
