Owner of a day care center in Palma arrested for tying 2-4 year old children to chairs

Employees and parents from the day care center reported physical aggression in the form of pinching or tying the children to a chair

The Policía Nacional in Palma have arrested a Spanish woman for allegedly mistreating children between two and four years of age at the day care center for which she was responsible.

Complaints from day care center’s employees and parents

As explained by the agents in a press release, the investigation was initiated as a result of several complaints filed by former workers and some parents, who warned of a series of involving the woman responsible for the children of the day care center.

Specifically, some of the complainants and witnesses reported that physical aggressions took place in the form of pinching, tying the children in hammocks and chairs or other punishments such as locking them in a closet.

The UFAM group of the Policía Nacional carried out various actions, taking statements from the affected parties and witnesses. The arrest of the woman took place last Wednesday as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of habitual abuse in the family environment.
