Check out the program of the festivities of Cala Llonga 2023

All events scheduled from 11 to 27 August

Cala Llonga will maintain its hallmarks and this year music, sport and children’s activities will once again be the stars of the fiesta programme, which will celebrate its big day on the 15th of August with the celebration of the Virgen de la Asunción, patron saint of this coastal town in the municipality, according to the Santa Eulària Town Hall in a press release.

The first weekend of events will begin on friday, august 11 with activities for the youngest members of the family, with children’s games on the promenade, from 18.30 h, and the screening of the movie ‘Minions’ on the beach (21).

The musical activity will be moved on saturday, August 12 to the beach, with Dani and his dancers from Real Dance Palace (19h) along with flamenco and sevillanas performances by Sara Lorente’s students. The musical notes will be provided by the group Ibossim, with a concert from 22h.

The sunday, August 13 will be the turn of the great performance of Belinda and her violin and a DJ on the sand (22h). In addition, Canallas del Guateque will take advantage of the same stage to bring their rhythm to Cala Llonga on Monday, August 14, live at 8.30 pm.

This same weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, the champions of the beach volleyball tournament will be decided (from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.).

Batucada, motorcyclessand castles and tradition

The tuesday, august 15 the day of the patron saint will be celebrated in style. The awakening of the celebration will be in charge of the drums of A Tutiplénwho will offer their well-known batucada at 10 am. The exhibition of old motorcycles in front of S’Aroma (10.30 am) and the sand castle contest on the beach (11 am) will again be part of this special day.

In the afternoon, the solemn mass in the chapel of Cala Llonga with the Rociero Choir and the ‘sonadors eivissencs’ (6 pm) and the subsequent parade of carts will put the point of tradition to the day, before the action returns to the promenade with the peasant dance (20h) and a music session of the 1980s and 1990s of the 20th century by the dj Javi Box (21h).

The thursday, august 17 the flea market will return with the ambiance of The Metrallas (18h) and the sand sport will be the protagonist again on Saturday and Sunday, with the Rugby Championship that will start on both days at 16h.

The microconcerts will close this year’s festival program, the Duo Nati&Cris (august 18at 22h at S’Aroma), Five Guys Walk into a Bar (august 19, at 21h at Flipper and Terramar), Crossroad (august 25, at 8 pm at Amigos restaurant), Swingin Tonic (august 26that 8 pm at Buganvilla restaurant) and Voximusic Duet (august 27that 8.30 p.m. at the Regina restaurant).
