The IbizaPreservation Foundation raises approximately 100,000 euros for the conservation and regeneration of the environment of Ibiza and Formentera during a charity event held in London this week. This achievement was made in celebration of the foundation’s 15th anniversary.
On Monday, a charity event was held at the luxurious Park Chinois in London, where the owners of the cabaret restaurant generously hosted a dinner and show for approximately 120 individuals with ties to Ibiza. Through the use of digital tablets and QR codes at each table, guests were given the opportunity to make donations to the IbizaPreservation Foundation. In a press release, the foundation emphasized the success of the event and expressed gratitude to all who contributed to their cause.
During her opening speech, Serena Cook, the co-founder of the IbizaPreservation Foundation, spoke about the responsibility that individuals have towards the well-being of the Pitiusas. In a statement, Cook highlighted the purpose of the foundation, which was founded 15 years ago with the aim of protecting the natural beauty of the islands for future generations. She expressed gratitude towards the attendees, stating that they were all present that evening because of their love for Ibiza. Cook urged the guests to make an effort to give back to the islands and contribute to the cause.
Inma Saranova, the executive director of the IbizaPreservation Foundation, expressed her appreciation towards the owners of Park Chinois for their generosity in hosting the event, as well as towards all of the guests who contributed. In a statement, Saranova emphasized the importance of the foundation’s donors, stating that their generosity is essential in supporting the organization’s environmental projects. She also highlighted the significance of the funds raised during the event, which will allow the foundation to expand the scope and impact of their work.
The press release emphasized that among the contributors was the Park Chinois company, which belongs to the Island Hospitality group and includes various establishments such as Ibiza’s Club Chinois, Beachouse, Mikasa, and Finca La Plaza. The owners of these businesses, Sid and Sofija Mehta, are Ibiza residents who actively support the work of the IbizaPreservation Foundation.
