Firefighters of Formentera have saved a cat from drowning in the irrigation pond in Sant Francesc. The Island Fire Station received a call from 112 at 8.45 am warning of a cat that was in the water in the irrigation pond.
Three firefighters in a rapid intervention vehicle and a rapid service van were dispatched to the scene. The firefighters used to access the feline a small boat which was on the raft for maintenance tasks.
Once the cat was located, which was on a life ringwas rescued and brought ashore where he fled.
The service ended at 10 am.
