A 33-year-old British man drowned this afternoon in Cala Jondal, in Sant Josep. The young man was found floating in the sea, according to 061.
The lifeguard team has transferred the victim to a nearby boat to perform resuscitation maneuvers before the arrival of the emergency services.
A Basic Life Support Unit and an Advanced Life Support Unit of 061 were sent to the scene. The rescuers tried to resuscitate the drowned man for 40 minutes, without success.
