The best plans for the weekend in Ibiza and Formentera

Among the most attractive events on the agenda are the 'Festa de sa sitja de sa Rota d'en Coca' and the start of Ibizacinefest

The ‘Festa de sa sitja de sa Rota d’en Coca’, which will begin this Friday and will last until Sunday, is one of the most outstanding plans for this weekend. The sitja will be lit on February 23, coinciding with school visits, on the 24th a workshop is planned orelletes and a xacota with sung and glosadors and 25, in addition to turn off the sitja, a fishing tournament and a popular paella will be held.

In addition to this traditional event of the Corona festival program, there are many other attractive proposals. Film buffs, for example, can mark their calendars for the opening of Ibizacinefest on February 23. The festival will kick off at 8.30 pm at Can Jeroni, in Sant Josep, with the screening of ‘Ara la llum cau vertical’, by Efthymia Zymvragaki.

On the other hand, the filmmaker Enrique Villalonga will offer a guided tour through thehe neighborhood of the Marinain Ibiza, to explain the films that were shot there. It will be this Saturday from half past ten in the morning, meeting time at the headquarters of Filmótica Studio, on Avenida Ignasi Wallis.

Among the musical events, highlights the concert ‘Beethoven’which will offer the Symphony Orchestra Ciutat d’Eivissaconducted by Fernando Marina, together with the UIB Choir, conducted by Núria Cunillera, and the Cor Ciutat d’Eivissa, with Miguel San Miguel. It will take place on Sunday at 5.30 p.m. at Can Ventosa.

In the same auditorium in Vila this Thursday and Friday at 8.30 p.m., Las Querubinas de la Llar de Eivissa will perform the comedy ‘Más acá del más allá’, by Carlos Llopis.

Guided tour on cinema

‘Cinema guide. La Marina’. Guided tour by the Ibizan filmmaker Enrique Villalonga through the neighborhood of La Marina to discover the films that were shot there.
