The best plans for the weekend in Ibiza and Formentera

The Sant Antoni Medieval Seafood Fair and the Sant Miquel festivities mark a weekend in which literature and music play a special role.

The Seafood Fair will invade throughout the weekend the promenade and the surrounding area of Sant Antoni with entertainment, shows, crafts and lots of gastronomy. Meanwhile, in Sant Miquel, celebrate the central days of their festivities and with good music. On Friday, the day of Sant Miquel, will culminate with the concert of Morning Drivers and Saturday with Canallas del Guateke and Joven Dolores.

More music, on Friday, the Children of the 80’s party closes the season at the Hard Rock Hotel with some Spanish rock classics, Social Security. And on Saturday, another classic, Slim Jim Phantom, of Stray Cats, is the main attraction of the contrast Ibiza festival at sa Punta des Molí in Sant Antoni.

But if anything stands out this weekend is the literature, with several book presentationsthe first is the double presentation of ‘Tierra adentro’, the new novel by the Ibizan writer José Morella, and two very interesting meetings. The first is the lluna de Juny poetry festivalwith recitals, but also a conference and a concert. The second is the second edition of the Literanitwith activities on Friday and Saturday in Eivissa and Formentera.

Also follows the Temporada de Dansa of the Consell de Eivissa, with the shows ‘El bosque’, on Friday’, and ‘Runa’, on Sunday, and on the weekend there will be some very interesting Astronomy Days.
