The Ibiza Local Police arrested yesterday two people circulating with false driving licenses, one of them under the influence of narcotic substances, as reported by the City Council of Ibiza in a statement.
The first arrest occurred when a patrol of the Ibiza Local Police observed a motorcyclist who was circulating along the Pere Matutes Noguera avenue, with his helmet unfastened.
When they stopped him they saw that he showed signs of consumption of narcotic substances, reason why they required the attestations unit to do a drug test, at the same time they required the driver’s license.
An agent of the Local Police expert in documentscopy, who examined the license, determined that the document was false since the security elements differed greatly from a legal document.
The agents then detained the driver, a 20-year-old man, who also tested positive in the drug test for different narcotic substances.
The second arrest took place at 8:25 p.m. on Canarias Street. A patrol of motorists of the Local Police observed a vehicle circulating with a headlight out entering the street of Castilla in a prohibited direction.
For this reason they stopped the driver. Upon requesting the driver’s license, at first glance the agents already suspected that it was a false document, so they requested the presence of the attestation unit, and the document was examined by an expert agent in document examination who examined the driving license and determined the falsity of the document. The driver, a 38 year old man, was then arrested.
Both detainees were taken to the police station of the National Police Corps to await judicial disposition.
