The mega yacht ‘Tumberry C’ is moored in the Marina Ibiza marina, although it sails constantly, especially to Formentera. It is not a very new boat, although it has undergone a complete overhaul with several refittings and it is one of the most luxurious yachts in Spain.
It was first called ‘Núfer’ and belonged to the businessman from Vigo Fernando Fernández Tapiasand famous people such as Isabel Preysler or the Aznar family have sailed in it. It was later sold to businessman Juan Carlos Rodríguez Cebrián from A Coruñaamancio Ortega’s nephew, who renamed it ‘Tumberry C’.
This year he has had to undergo some adjustments, since in December it ran aground in the dock of the port Juan Carlos I (Sanxenxo) where it was moored. The vessel began to sink from the bow due to a water leak in the engine room.
The steel and aluminum yacht 410GT, built in 1988 and valued at seven million eurosis part of Benetti’s 45M series. Its exterior design is due to Stefano Natucci, while Terence Disdale and Longari are responsible for the yacht’s interior. She can accommodate up to 10 guests in five staterooms.
Rodríguez Cebrián is married to Amancio Ortega’s niece, Dolores Ortega, and is a former CEO of Inditex. Currently, he is dedicated to managing his real estate investments and, above all, to the hotel sector. However, on board his yacht, which is not the first time he has come to Ibiza, he has also been photographed with well-known personalities from the tabloids, such as Lydia Lozano or Makoke.
