The rain has finally made an appearance in the Pitiusas this Tuesday. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow alert until 17 hours of the day for heavy rains and storms.
Accumulated rainfall is expected up to 25 liters per square meter per hour accompanied by thunderstorms.
The Aemet has activated for Wednesday the orange risk for heavy rains and storms, with rainfall of up to 50 liters per square meter, from 8 to 18 hours.
Punctually, could accumulate from 60 to 90 liters per square meter, according to the Aemet.
Wind gusts of 90 to 120 kilometers per hour are expected, with the possibility of hurricanes and perhaps hail.
Temperatures will remain between 23 and 29 degrees these days.
Emergencies 112 has managed 21 incidents in the Pitiuas due to the rains, 17 in Ibiza and three in Formentera. Most of them have been due to flooding of premises, on public roads or falling trees.
