Aemet activates yellow alert in Ibiza and Formentera: rough seas and storms

After a sunny start to the long weekend and mild temperatures for the season, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow risk for coastal phenomena for this Friday. Winds from the north and northwest of 50 to 60 kilometres per hour (force 7) and waves of two to three metres are expected. The yellow alert for rough seas will remain active from 10am until 8pm on Friday.

Aemet also forecasts for this Friday showers and storms with a probability of 100% from midnight tonight Thursday until noon on Friday. The wind will blow from the northwest and temperatures will be between 13 and 19 degrees.

From 12 noon on Friday the probability of rain will be only 10% and there will be clearings and clouds throughout the afternoon.

During the rest of the weekend the weather will remain stable with no precipitation and temperatures ranging between 11 and 22 degrees minimum and maximum.
