The president of the Consell Insular de Ibiza, Vicent Marí, has this morning welcomed Rhoderick Anthony Blackwell and Pauline Florence Blackwell, a couple from the United Kingdom who have been summering in Ibiza for more than 25 years. In fact, this is the second time this year they have visited the island after having enjoyed a few days in June. In recent years they have stayed at the Hotel Catalonia Ses Estaques in Santa Eulària, although for many years they have also stayed at establishments in Portinatx.
The president thanked them for the confidence they have had in Ibiza over the years, and especially “in the last two years, when despite the restrictions, the Blackwells have continued to visit the island, which has welcomed them every summer almost since they were children”.
This was the most emotional act in a day dedicated to offering tokens of gratitude to the tourists who have arrived on the island and repeated in various tourist areas.
