Ibiza has already ordered 2.8 million for electric cars and charging stations

El Govern solicita un ampliación de 9,3 millones de euros del Plan Moves III para llegar hasta los 27 millones

Ibiza residents have requested 2.8 million euros in aid for the acquisition of electric cars, plug-in hybrids, and recharging points since the launch of the Moves III Plan in the Balearic Islands in June 2021.

The General Directorate of Energy and Climate Change of the Government of Catalonia has opened 405 files, and 187 dossiers have already been awarded, with aid worth 795,000 euros. Almost half of the awards, 159, were destined for the acquisition of new zero-emission vehicles, resulting in a similar number of fossil fuel vehicles being withdrawn from circulation. The average time from application to awarding of aid in the Balearic Islands is between six and eight months.

The Regional Ministry of Energy Transition, Productive Sectors, and Democratic Memory has requested a second extension of 9.3 million euros to cover the surplus demand and future requests. The Moves III Plan will run until December 31, 2023.
