And cheerfulness, good feelings, positive energy, good vibes, and excellent vibrations have marked this first edition of the veteran festival of Aranda de Duero on the island. Call it X. Although the Sonorama Ibiza format, with short concerts and many in acoustic or semi-acoustic, between two different but close hotels, could raise concerns, in the end all festival traditions could be fulfilled, particularly the one of commenting on the performance of the previous concert and the expectations of the next in the constant movement from one stage to another, here in the street that connects them.
At the farewell, Javier Ajenjo, director of Sonorama Ribera de Aranda, promised to “keep dreaming of Eivissa.” We’ll have to accept him at his word. Shinova was forced to conclude the closing concert early and sing the final song a capella, with no microphones and little light, because the wind and rain were determined to put an end of the uttermost natural kind.
