Jazz night in Formentera: Monkey Doo, Duquende, and Ay Trick take the stage

The organisation kicks off the concerts in a well-known restaurant in ses Illetes with Ana Rossi Trio The main stage will be in the Plaça de la Constitució in Sant Francesc on 2nd and 3rd June

The organisers of the Formentera Jazz Festival, which celebrates its ninth edition between the 1st and 4th of June this year, have already completed the line-up of artists who will be performing during those days at this festival that fuses different styles, always with jazz as a backdrop.

The director and creator of the festival, Maxwell Wrightexpressed his satisfaction to present the definitive poster “with world-class artists, who will offer a unique and unforgettable musical experience.”

This year, the starting gun changes its setting and will be moved to June 1, at 8.30 pm, to the restaurant es Molí de Sal, in ses Illetes, with the performance of Ana Rossi Trio. To attend, reservations must be made in advance by calling 971187491, as seating is limited.

Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3 the central days of the festival, the sant Francesc’s Constitució square will host the concerts of: Alejandro Delange, Monkey Doo, Fosc, Duquende, Ay Trick and Sonido Tupinamba.

Sunday, June 4 the closing of the festival will take place with a jam sessionas it is already traditional, at the restaurant Chezz Gerdi, in es Pujols.

The Consell de Formentera, through the areas of Culture and Tourism, supports this appointment with less commercial music but that “connects with the free and carefree spirit that is related to Formentera,” they said in a note.
