The Govern met yesterday with members from the Guardia Civil and the Instituto de Seguridad Pública de Balears (Institute of Public Safety of the Balearic Islands or Ispib) to define the specific device that will monitor compliance with the nightlife measures imposed on December 31 and January 1, 2022.
According to a press release from the Balearic Executive, the New Year’s Eve device will include Govern inspectors as well as the assistance of Local Police and Civil Guard. “This coordination between security and emergency authorities is critical in order to act in places and enterprises where risk scenarios occur,” they said. The inspectors will work with local police and the Guardia Civil to prevent particular celebrations from exceeding capacity and violating current restrictions. The goal of this gadget is to ensure that New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve celebrations are as safe as possible.
