In recent days security forces have increased controls on parties held by the only two nightclubs that have opened in October following the easing of restrictions by the Balearic Government, Amnesia and DC10.

The Guardia Civil together with Sant Antoni Policía Local arrested five people this past weekend as alleged perpetrators of drug trafficking offenses, sanctioned 72 people for drug use and about nine for Road Safety offences, for which it was necessary to perform more than 390 breathalyser tests.
The operation was set up from Saturday afternoon until the early hours of Sunday morning on the road to Sant Rafel, in the vicinity of the Amnesia nightclub, coinciding with the opening and closing of the club.

Government spokesperson Iago Negueruela told a press conference yesterday that “collaboration between the authorities is very important”. He also added that “in the case of DC10 nightclub, we know that Sant Josep Policía Local have filed reports and, when they reach the Govern, they will be dealt with and an investigation process carried out. If they result in a fine, the company will be sanctioned. I know that there will be operations for today’s parties and that we will continue to coordinate,” he said.
