Furniture and home decor store Sluiz has announced on his social networks its reopening in a new location. “The new store is setting up!” reports Sluiz. The new location is across the street from the old building on Santa Gertrudis Road. “You can’t miss it, just watch for the cows! Hope to see you there!” the store posts on its Instagram account.
The City Council of Santa Eulària, through a sanctioning file on activities, ordered the closure of the store at the end of July. The reason for this decision was that the activity that was developed in this establishment did not comply with its licensethis was already known to the owners of the property and their landlords. In addition, the closure was in response to a series of extensions on rural land without a permit and for detecting serious risks for the people who came to the establishment.
Sluiz had 48 hours to close. Its managers reported then informed their buyers of their impending closure with an openingdear friends of Sluiz. Last chance to enjoy our fabulous store in Santa Gertrudis. We close in less than two days. Wednesday [31 de julio], 12 hours”.
The business advertised, with a photograph showing a woman doing the ‘peineta’ with her handthat the store would open non stop until Wednesday at noon, the scheduled closing time. Until then, Sluiz promised a party and music, and an invitation to a drink to anyone who buys a product.
Sluiz was a store located in the old finca of can Mala Costa, about 500 meters from the current gas station in the village of Santa Gertrudis. It is the same property where the owners tried to open the discotheque La Diosa, a project that was paralyzed due to the pressure of the neighbors of the area.
