The start of a trial in Great Britain uncovered a drug trafficking case in which a cache of 307 kilos was located (of heroin, cocaine and ketamine) with ramifications in Ibiza. It has been learned that a 23-year-old Eddie Burton was arrested in August 2023 in an Ibiza nightclub on drug trafficking charges. Also that his girlfriend, Sian Banks, 25, was arrested.
The very young Eddie, who also has a boyish lookin August 2022, two truckloads of drugs were seized in an illicit international operation: 142 kilos of cocaine, 25 kilos of heroin and another 25 kilos of ketamine with an estimated market value of 24 million euros. Burton’s fingerprints were all over these vehicles.
A year after authorities launched their search for him, Burton was arrested in Ibiza in August 2023 on suspicion of drug trafficking offenses.
Burton and Banks, who this week pleaded guilty to the crimes with which they are charged (more than half a dozen), are now awaiting the judge’s sentence, which is expected to be made public on February 12.
The life of this young narco
Eddie was arrested in a discotheque in Ibiza, although he also had a residence in Amsterdam since he was 19 years old. The choice of Amsterdam as a base was obvious to Burton: for years it has been linked to smuggling gangs and was the base of Liverpool’s most notorious drug dealer, Curtis Warrena generation before Burton arrived. Some British media suggest that he lived between Amsterdam and Ibiza.
Despite his relative youth, the British press explains that he started dealing drugs at the age of 10, and by the age of 23 he had already become a professional in this type of crime.
Family and friends in Liverpool tell some media that Burton had been a rebel from a very young age and was involved in serious crime before he had even left elementary school. His girlfriend Sian Banks, an aspiring influencer, is a devotee of money and luxurywhich led her to become involved in the world of drug trafficking when she was barely of age.
According to investigations, between June 2022 and October 2023 Sian traveled to the Netherlands and Spain every month to see Burton. After examining her phone, it was also discovered that she transported cocaine and ketamine to the UK in her luggage on two occasions in August 2022 after visiting Burton in Amsterdam.
