Spectacular images of Katy Perry at the monoliths of Cala Llentia

The American singer has been spotted these days in the island's nightclubs

The most hidden and beautiful corners of Ibiza are no longer a secret for almost anyone. That’s why it’s not surprising that the American singer Katy Perry has visited the monoliths by the Australian artist Andrews Rogers, near the cliffs of Cala Llentia, for a night photo shoot, or maybe she will be part of a music video of the diva.

The artist posed in a swimsuit, with a fishnet skirt with small mirrors and without any shoes. The image, which was posted two days ago on her social networks, accumulated nearly 300,000 ‘likes’ on Instagram.12 monolithsThis spectacular structure is a kind of sundial with 12 monoliths placed in a circular shape, which are carved out of one piece of dark basalt stone. In the center, there is a dolmen taller than the rest of twenty meters high, with a gold foil on the top, that is lit at sunset.

It is popularly known as the ‘Stonehenge of Ibiza’, for its resemblance to the British megalithic monument. But its real name is ‘Time and Space’ and it is part of the Australian artist’s collection ‘Rhythms of Life’. Although it does not appear in any heritage catalog of the island, it is internationally known, as the journalist Xescu Prats pointed out in his Imaginary of the island.

It was in 2014 that Andrews Rogers erected this spectacular work, quite a bit smaller than others he has erected throughout his career around the world.

“The author claims that he represents the alignment of the planets around the sun, but experts in his work claim that his explanations represent the tip of the iceberg. The nearby presence of es Vedrà, for those who seek more esoteric nuances, is no coincidence and remember that the islet is one of the points that give off more magnetism on the planet, to the point of affecting compasses and GPS. When it was erected, all alarms went off among environmental groups and the City Council even opened a file. The monument’s patron, the multimillionaire founder of Cirque du Soleil and one of the first space tourists, Guy Laliberté , on whose land it sits, never asked for a license,” recalled Xescu Prats.

The American singer was also spotted a week ago at Hï Ibiza and Pacha. In addition, the artist has collaborated with a Cuban artist with whom she coincided on the island for his urban art project.
