Ibiza and Formentera municipalities least affected by covid in Balearic Islands

Santa Eulària, which has the highest incidence of covid on the island, is the 47th highest in the Balearic Islands.

The municipalities of the Pitiusas are, as a whole, the least affected by the coronavirus right now in the Balearic Islands, according to the latest data of the pandemic published in the covid viewer. Only one, Santa Eulària, is among the 50 municipalities of the Comunitat with the highest incidence. With 350.6 infections per 100,000 inhabitants at two weeks, it occupies the 47th place on the list, in which there are already three municipalities of Mallorca (Escorca, Deià and Búger) with a double zero, i.e., free of coronavirus.

In the last day the two-week incidence has increased in Santa Eulària and the one-week incidence, although it has fallen slightly, predicts a small increase in the coming days.

Sant Joan is, on the other hand, the area of the island least affected by covid, although for the moment it is far from joining the zero cases club. Labritja ranks 60th on the list of municipalities of the Balearic Islands and is, along with Vila and Formentera, one of the three areas of the Pitiusas in which the indicator at seven days remains below half of that recorded at fourteen days, indicating that in the coming days the covid incidence will continue to fall.

The island of Ibiza now registers 270.7 infections per hundred thousand inhabitants at two weeks, the highest figure since the first day of this month, a situation that is repeated on the island of Formentera, which records a fourteen-day incidence of 210 cases.

The Pitiusas remain as the islands of the Comunitat with the lowest indicators. And by far the lowest compared to Mallorca and, above all, Menorca. The two-week incidence of the latter island (537.4 infections) is practically double that of Ibiza.
