Diego Simeone, El Cholo, Atlético de Madrid’s coach, has spent part of his vacation in Ibiza. And he has done so with the help of crutches because he recently underwent surgery for an old injury he suffered while celebrating a goal during last season’s Champions League.
El Cholo has gone on vacation to Ibiza with his wife, Argentine art expert and former model, Carla Pereyra, and their two daughters, Francesca, seven, and Valentina, four.
In addition, the couple has counted on the company of some friends with whom they have taken the opportunity to take a break from their professional responsibilities and enjoy what the island of Ibiza has to offer.
On his Instagram, last June 25, Simeone uploaded a publication in which he appeared on the Juan Carlos I promenade of the city, where the marinas are located, helped by crutches and in the company of his two daughters. And in his post, he notes: “Occupational hazards… and I had to undergo surgery to continue enjoying what I like the most… sport”.
Diego Simeone and Atlético de Madrid returned to work on July 11 to undergo the corresponding medical examinations. During the afternoon of that day, at 7 p.m., the team carried out their first training session of the preseason in Majadahonda.
