Green light for six hotel refurbishment projects worth 29.6 million in Ibiza

The two main projects are 4-star upgrades for two properties in Port de Sant Miquel

Ibiza Council’s Tourism Planning Commission, which met today, has given the green light to a total of six projects to improve, renovate and refurbish various tourist properties on the island, together representing an investment of about 29.6 million euros.

The projects approved are the upgrading to a 4-star premium hotel of a tourist property in Port de Sant Miquel, without increasing capacity and with an investment of 12.8 million euros; the 4-star upgrade of another tourist establishment in the same area, reducing bedspaces from 204 to 196, with an investment of 11.8 million euros; the improvement of the communal facilities in a hotel in Sant Antoni, with no increase bedspaces and an investment of 641,000€; accessibility and habitability improvements, improvement in selective waste collection and the incorporation of 14 charging points for electric vehicles in another establishment in Sant Antoni with an investment of 2.4 million euros; in Sant Josep, conversion into a 4-star hotel with improved access, habitability, and incorporation of four charging points for electric vehicles with an investment of 1.9 million euros, and a restaurant in Sant Josep will undertake improvements such as the incorporation of solar panels, water tanks and improved insulation, without increasing capacity, and with an investment valued at 36,000 euros.
