The project is based on the idea of the cultural activist Lucía Barbiero, who said yesterday that the aim of this event “has been to extol the brilliance of the artists who are on our island” with the clear idea that the public could “fully enjoy the quality of listening to live music without any kind of distraction, just focusing on the sound and the voice”, Barbiero pointed out.

Fantasía Ibiza Festival – A constant flow of visitors

During the three days there was a constant flow of “attentive, conscious, patient and curious visitors”, which confirmed the artistic quality that lives on Ibiza, said Barbiero. Live painters, musical bands, performances, acrobatics, magic, storytelling, poetry and inspirational talks have been the different artistic disciplines that over the 3 days have flooded the streets of the city center.

In terms of music, the most outstanding performances were those of Ibossim Flamenco, Shakatribe, Rebeca Gamboa, David Devanagari, Romana Alarcón and Saigo Dicenta, among many others, while the dance companies Artco, Acrobatik and the artistic vanguard of ellebannA have been a fundamental part of this great success. “The future opens the doors to this very special event, in which we have achieved a great interaction between the artists and the public and among the artists themselves, who have managed to co-create new performances and surprises,” ended the organizer.

Tribute to Arturo Miranda

On the closing day there was room for the memory of the recently deceased artist Arturo Miranda, to whom tribute was paid with a retrospective exhibition of his work at the Can Pou bar in the port, under the title ‘Brindemos juntos por Arturo Miranda’ (Let’s toast together for Arturo Miranda). The final touch was a concert by the Ibizan group Soul Doctor in the Parque Reina Sofia.
