The airline will offer around 60 weekly flight movements and 235,000 seats until 27 March, aiming to improve connections for residents travelling to mainland Spain and international destinations.

Iberia Express will operate an average of four to five daily flights in each direction between Ibiza and Madrid throughout the winter season, which runs until 27 March. The airline has announced a schedule of approximately 60 weekly flight movements, including both departures and arrivals, with a total capacity of 235,000 seats during the quieter months of the year.

The Iberia Group airline says its winter timetable has been designed with the needs of island residents in mind, providing travel options to Madrid while also making it easier to connect with other destinations across Spain and internationally via Madrid-Barajas Airport.

According to the company, this will be the fourth consecutive winter in which it has strengthened its commitment to Ibiza, maintaining flight frequencies to meet demand from both business travellers and residents travelling off the island.

Iberia Express Commercial Director Isabel Rodríguez highlighted the airline’s continued efforts to improve air links across the Balearic Islands.

“We continue working to improve connectivity for residents by strengthening our winter schedule across the Balearic Islands,” she said.

Rodríguez added that the airline would maintain a range of frequencies and departure times between Ibiza and Madrid which, combined with its punctuality, had helped establish what she described as “a genuine air bridge” between the two destinations.

She also stressed the importance of these services in providing highly competitive fares for residents and supporting the year-round development of tourism, helping generate economic activity and employment across the archipelago beyond the traditional summer season.

Balearic Islands to See a 38% Increase in Flights

Iberia Express’s winter schedule also includes a 38% increase in flights between the Balearic Islands and Madrid compared with the 2025–2026 winter season, bringing the total number of seats available across the archipelago to 827,000.

Mallorca will account for the largest share of operations, with an average of 10 daily flights in each direction, rising to 12 during periods of peak demand. The airline expects to provide more than 590,000 seats on the Palma–Madrid route alone.

The airline says its strategy is to maintain reliable air connections during the months when tourist activity is traditionally lower. Its flight times are designed to allow passengers to connect with Iberia’s wider international network from Madrid, while also offering greater flexibility for those travelling for business.
