TikToker warns in Sant Antoni: “Do not accept a balloon”

Sant Antoni is one of the best known municipalities of Ibiza among foreign tourists, especially British, for being one of the main party destinations in Ibiza. Its West End bars, the sunsets and its somewhat more casual atmosphere than in the rest of the island have made it an obligatory stop for thousands of travelers. 19659001]In addition, this municipality has a cheaper accommodation offer than that offered in other parts of the island, which makes Sant Antoni one of the busiest places in the tourist months.

Now, Sant Antoni also has a new point of interest thanks to Okuda San Miguel’s art project, located on Santa Agnès street, in the heart of the West End. That’s exactly where a tiktoker has recorded a video that has accumulated more than a million views and in which she launches “three tips” to “not die trying” after setting foot in this area of Sant Antoni. 19659003]”Do not come if you are not friends with the guiris”, she says as a first warning. “Never accept a balloon, they are not for birthdays”, adds in reference to the laughing gas. And the fact is that in Sant Antoni, as in other popular tourist destinations, laughing gas balloons have become common in party areas. These balloons contain nitrous oxide, a gas that is inhaled to provoke a brief sensation of euphoria, dizziness or laughter, hence their nickname. They are sold loaded from small metal canisters (cartridges) and are consumed by tourists, especially in areas like the West End.

Finally, the tiktoker warns: “Come prepared because if you want to communicate at a minimum, you have to drink three beers… because the English don’t understand each other.”
