The Social Welfare Department of the Sant Antoni Town Council is organising a charity weekend this year, on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, with the aim of collecting new toys to distribute them among the most vulnerable groups and families with the greatest needs in the municipality.
The event ‘With your gift, an illusion is born’ will be held on December 16 and 17 in the Passeig de ses Fonts with the collaboration of the Red Cross, which will set up a stand from 11 am to 5 pm to collect new toys in exchange for tickets for children’s activities scheduled for the holidays such as rides, face painting or bouncy castles.
The councilman of Social Welfare, Jorge Nacher, has encouraged the entire population to to participate in this initiative that aims to ensure that no child is left without a gift on these special dates. “Sant Antoni always shows its most supportive side and we call on you to participate once again this year in this campaign so necessary to help families who need it most and ensure that all children receive toys this Christmas,” said Nacher, who explained that the toys collected will go to families using the social services of the City of Sant Antoni and the Red Cross.
