The best plans for the weekend on Ibiza and Formentera

Santa Agnès celebrates its big day on Saturday with traditional events and concerts over the weekend.

This weekend Santa Agnes celebrates its big day without restrictions this Saturday after two year hiatus thanks to Covid and all the traditional events are back along with concerts in the afternoon by the cover band Esta me la sé as well as Joven Dolores, in their first concert of the year. On Sunday the activities continue with a children’s party throughout the day organized by the school’s Apima including a traditional paella.

Sant Antoni also continues its festive program this weekend with a party on Friday at the Mercat de sa Cooperativa, with sobrasada torrada and acoustic recital by Solpost.

On Saturday the new mini skate ramp will be unveiled in Sant Jordi, next to the Can Guerxo sports center, with a skateboarding exhibition and competition, music, graffiti and food and drinks from noon.

The Can Ventosa library hosts a storytelling for adults on Friday by Milagros Pierna, and children will be the stars on Saturday in the Cas Serres auditorium with the opera adapted for family audiences ‘William Tell‘, by the Platea program.

And there will be weekend music, including the concerts sponsored by Sant Josep és Música which continue with several events with The Metrallas in Can Jordi, with a repertoire ranging from rockabilly to psychobilly and surf, and the youths from The New Young Polaks in Can Tommy.

In addition, the Supermercat de l’Art at Garden Art Gallery is still open, with opportunities to buy art by renowned local artists at great prices.
