“Peinetta is the result of finding in the sweaty clubs the same obscurity and wildness of the caves of the Albayzín”. This is how Anna Fx and Rigo Pex, members of the duo who bring their electro-iberian sound to Ibiza this Friday, describe their show.
The duo will perform late this Friday evening (21.30 pm) at the hippy market in es Canar, in Punta Arabí. A few hours before, moreover, will attend as guests to the program ‘La captura del sonido’, by Daniel Peñacobaon Pure Ibiza Radio. From four o’clock in the afternoon the musicians will talk about their career and perform live some of their songs, explains Peñacoba.

“Live is a sonorous outburst: 60 minutes continuous of original songs sung live with bases and synthesizers sequenced in real time by rhythm machines. Without the use of a computer… but with a lot of sampling of cantes jondos, bulerías, soleás and other “palos”“explain Anna Fx from Cádiz and Rigo Pex from Guatemala.
She has performed in musicals in Madrid, acted as a backing vocalist in live shows and studio albums and participated in recordings for children’s albums while he, better known in the artistic world as Meneo, is a musicologist, performer and presenter and was one of the first to mix electronic sounds with traditional Latin rhythms such as cumbia and merengue. This same, but inspired by “Iberian” styles such as zarzuela, paso doble and rumba, is what he does now with Peinetta.
