The chimes will mark the end of the year this Wednesday December 31 in Ibiza and Formentera, in a day designed for all audiences and full of Christmas spirit. Illuminated markets, family activities, live music and big night parties will turn squares and promenades into celebration scenarios for those who do not choose to party at home or attend a private party to welcome the new year.
Vila: markets, music and big final party to welcome the new year
The city of Ibiza will experience an intense New Year’s Eve from early in the morning. The Paseo de Vara de Rey will be the meeting point with its Christmas market open from 11 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 9 pm, and from 12 pm to 11 pm a gastronomic market that will last until the evening, accompanied by music and festive atmosphere such as the vermouth at 45 RPM with Javi Box and friends. In other words, whoever wants to can start saying goodbye to the year at eleven in the morning and reach 2026 without leaving s’Alamera.

The morning starts with family proposals such as the Christmas Art School at Can Tomeu from 9 am to 2 pm.
At 11 am the family pre-campanadas with animation and music by Kairós will be held at Vara de Rey. The music continues at 1 p.m. with a performance by The Rose Mary Family. In the afternoon, at 4 pm, the DJ Orbe offers the session ‘Back to the Hits’ in the Plaza del Parque, until 7 pm, while at 4.30 pm takes place the traditional race pujada to the Cathedral, with departure from Es Martell and arrival, obviously, to the Cathedral Square.
The big event will come at night: at 22.30 hours, the Paseo de Vara de Rey hosts the Gran Fiesta de Fin de Año, with chimes, grapes, cotillion and performances by Petit & Vázquez, Lugotti, different groups and performances, until 3 a.m.
