The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) is forecasting generally stable weather to see out the year in the Pitiusas. According to meteorologists, New Year’s Eve will bring cloudy intervals, with little risk of rain across the islands.
The forecast for Ibiza and Formentera this December 31 points to cloudy skies, with a 30% to 55% chance of light and occasional showers. On the last day of the year, maximum temperatures are expected to reach 15°C during the central hours of the day, dropping to around 7°C at night, meaning warm clothing will be advisable for the traditional midnight celebrations.
Winds will blow lightly from the northeast, with gusts of between 10 and 15 kilometres per hour, easing as the night progresses.
According to Aemet, rain is expected to ease over the coming days, allowing people to enjoy the outdoor events organised to bid farewell to 2025.
